| Radiesse | 12-18 months | Every 12-18 months | 6-8 |

What Affects How Long Fillers Last
- Metabolism: Higher metabolic rates break down filler faster. Younger patients and athletes tend to metabolize filler more quickly.
- Blood flow to the area: Areas with high blood flow (face, lips) metabolize filler faster than areas with lower blood flow (hips). Hip fillers tend to last longer than facial fillers for this reason.
- Product volume injected: More product means more volume to metabolize, which extends the perceived duration.
- Product type: Sculptra lasts longer because your body maintains its own collagen longer than it maintains injected gel (HA) or calcium particles (Radiesse).
When to Schedule Re-Treatment
Do not wait until the filler has completely disappeared. Schedule re-treatment when the volume has decreased to about 50% of its original effect. This maintains the smooth contour continuously and often requires less product than starting from scratch. For Sculptra, this is typically every 2 years. For HA, every 12-15 months.
